[Mesa, AZ]- Brick Cave Media, one of Arizona's largest Science Fiction, Fantasy and Poetry publiishers, announced today the #ThinkIndieBooks campaign to promote readers to purchase their Brick Cave Books via their own favorite local bookstore.
Says Brick Cave Principal Support Executive Bob Nelson "We are excited to start finding new ways to connect readers of our great stories with bookstores in their neighborhoods and communities. There are competitors that have made it easy to centralize their book buying. We want to start to find the technology solutions to reverse that trend and make it easier for a reader to buy our book direct from their local bookstore."
The program will launch with 5 online catalogues, each catalog containing the available list of Brick Cave titles and links directly into the local bookstore's own buy pages for a reders to make the fewest clicks possible to pruchase the book. At start, the 5 featured catalogues will be for:
Changing Hands Books, Tempe/Phoenix, Arizona, USA
Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore, San Diego, California, USA
The Last Bookstore, Los Angeles, California, USA
Strand, New York, New York, USA
Powell's Books, Portland, Oregon, USA
"As we continue to invest in the program and in promoting it, we will add additional catalogues" continues Bob. "For us, it is a huge investment in difversifying the channels that readers find and buy our books. With thousands of small publishers and independent authors creating new works, it doesn't make sense for us to expect an independent bookstore to promote us without knowing us. But we can connect the dots for those that find, and come to like our stories and authors, to enage in a mutually beneficial transaction to get the most recent Brick Cave book."
After months of testing different ways to effectively implement the idea of this connection. Brick Cave developed ThinkIndieBooks. "We are excited to get started and expand our readership and build new relationships with independent book sellers everywhere.
