Hello All-
We at Brick Cave wanted to comment on the recent proposed settlement between AI startup Anthropic and the Author community in regard to Anthropic inappropriately scraping books to train its large language models against author permission.

About K.A. Bledsoe
Born, raised and still living in Arizona, K.A. Bledsoe has always loved science fiction. Her first story, “Space City” featured children growing up on a space station. She was six.
After devouring what few sci-fi books she could find for young people, she went on to read adult books at the age of eight. Soon the love turned toward fantasy and ultimately anything with a captivating story. Still, Kristi craved more stories, so she began writing her own. Ideas continually came to mind and filled the yellow notepads she carried everywhere. Nothing was off limits – short stories , novels, and even nonfiction and laughable attempts at humor.
As a self-styled jack-of-all-trades, Kristi has experience across many realms : from working on commission at the tender age of sixteen to scooping ice cream to being on the front lines of a pharmacy (never get between people and their drugs). She’s taken on the roles of wife and mother, homemaker and horse-caretaker. Music has always been a big part of her life, and she has run several music programs in schools. Through all these pursuits, writing has been a constant. Even when life didn’t leave time for sitting in front of the keyboard, the ideas never stopped pinging in her brain.
Kristi writes across all ages and genres, but to this day her first love is science fiction. Almost everything she writes contains an element of speculative fiction regardless of the setting. Usually her ideas require novels to contain them, but occasionally a short story will wiggle its way into her head and out her fingers. She has written several middle grade and young adult novels along with the adult Kelton series. Kristi can be found online at: https://kristibledsoe.com/.
About the Kelton Cases
The Keltons are a spacefaring family trying to make a living while evading their enemies. There’s Lenore, ex-mercenary at her best when fighting; Diarmin, talented inventor with top-notch piloting skills; Quinn, fifteen-year-old master of disguises; and Allison, eleven-year-old computer genius. Together, they make a terrific team, solving cases, finding lost people or objects, consistently outsmarting adversaries, and just trying to make a living among the stars. The series currently contains five novels, including The Lost Princess, The Dead Priest, A Dangerous Game, Full Circle and Origins.
