[Mesa, AZ]- Brick Cave author Bruce Davis has announced the release date for a new chapter in the Profit Logbooks Series, titled Profit Motives Is Falling, for March 11, 2025.
"This is a great new chapter in this ongoing series" shared Bruce. "We'll definitely seem some big changes and I am excited for readers to dive in and go on this journey."

About the Book
Going straight is hard.
The Profit is living up to her name for the first time since Zack Mbele stole her from the Martian Navy. After using the money from a big score to upgrade the ship’s living quarters, Zack and crew market her as a high-class charter yacht to the rich and famous. They’re welcome most everywhere they go (except Ceres and Kwai Hong One, but you can’t please everyone). Even their reputation as pirates and hard-case smugglers works to their advantage with clients who enjoy the illusion of danger.
Life is good, if a bit boring.

Profit motives will make its debut at Tucson Festival of Books, March 15-16, 2025 at University of Arizona. Brick Cave will be present in space #140 and Bruce will be available to sign books.

About Bruce Davis
Author Bruce Davis (Glowgems for Profit, Gold Magic) writes with a hint of the classic detective and a hint of noir across his Science Fiction and Fantasy novels. Influenced by the hard-boiled detective works of Mickey Spillane and similar authors, Bruce brings them thematically into the present day (and future) with skill and storytelling prowess.
Bruce is a Mesa AZ based general and trauma surgeon.
A United States Navy Veteran with 14 years active duty, including overseas duty with the Seabees, time on large grey boats, and a tour with the Marines during the First Gulf War, he is the author of seven novels. Bruce has appeared and presented at a number of pop-culture conventions, speaking on subjects related to his medical work as well as his writing interests.
Bruce is the co-host of the Brick Cave Podcast with fellow author Sharon Skinner, where they talk about writing and whatever other rabbit hole subjects that present themselves.
