[Mesa, AZ]- Brick Cave author Scott Woods has announced the release date for a new collection of poetry, titled Black Night Is Falling, for November 14, 2024.
"I like this book a lot. I think it is the best poetry collection I have done. It is certainly representative of the poet I am. And it sure 'nuff is a blues person's kind of book." shared Scott on his official Patreon in the post announcing the book.
The book is available for pre-order today on the Brick Cave Website.

Emmy award winning author Scott Woods is the author of We Over Here Now (2013, Brick Cave Books), Urban Contemporary History Month (2016, Brick Cave Books) and Prince and Little Weird Black Boy Gods (2018, Brick Cave Books). Scott has published and edited work in a variety of publications. He has been featured multiple times in national press, including multiple appearances on National Public Radio.
Scott was the President of Poetry Slam Inc. and MCs the Writers’ Block Poetry Night, an open mic series in Columbus, Ohio . In April of 2006 he became the first poet to ever complete a 24-hour solo poetry reading, a feat he bested with six more annual 24-hour readings without repeating a single poem. In October 2020, Scott won an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award for contributions to A House That Cannot Fall.
