Bill Campana is an Arizona poet whose work blends the energy of performance poetry with humor, observation, and a sharp sense of place. A longtime presence in the Phoenix-area poetry community, Campana has hosted and participated in readings and literary events throughout the Valley and has competed successfully on the international poetry stage.

Campana emerged from the slam poetry community before increasingly turning his attention toward shorter, more concise work while retaining the rhythm, wit, and audience connection that shaped his performance roots. His poetry moves easily between the serious and the absurd, drawing on everyday life, family, culture, and the landscapes and personalities of metropolitan Phoenix.

Campana has also been an active supporter of the region's poetry community, hosting open mics and sharing stages with generations of Arizona writers. He brings that same irreverent, conversational approach to The Big Hand Is on Poetry with Bill and Patrick, a Brick Cave Podcast, which he co-hosts with fellow Brick Cave poet Patrick Hare.
